  • While you’re wearing the temporary crown, the permanent crown will be made. It may take two to three weeks to make a permanent crown. The crown can be either cemented or screwed to the abutment.
Your ability to chew is going to be temporarily affected, so it is strongly recommended that you stick to a diet of soft foods for at least 10 to 14 days after the surgery is completed, or until your mouth is no longer tender.
